Ball, Parade & Throws Info
Ball: Our 13th Annual Mardi Gras Ball will be held on Saturday February 8, 2014 at the Pontchartrain Center. Doors open at 7:00 pm, the presentation starts at 8:00 pm, and tickets are $125.00. Contact your float lieutenant or an officer for tickets.
Dress is strictly formal (no pants for the ladies, floor length evening gowns only, full tuxedo for men) and dinner will be served immediately following our presentation.
Dancing will follow until 2:00 am with a band providing live entertainment!!
Parade: The Krewe of Excalibur is a Jefferson Parish Parade that rides along the traditional Veterans Memorial Blvd. Route in Metairie, LA (about 10 minutes from New Orleans). It’s a safe, family atmosphere that millions of people have enjoyed over the years. This is our 13th Parade, and over the years we have catered to this atmosphere by making our parade a fun time with bands or dance groups between every float, by throwing items specially designed for children like youth t-shirts, stuffed castles and hand decorated shields, and by having family related socials throughout the year. We are also the first parade of the season, so it’s very well attended by the public. This year the parade will be on Friday February 21, 2014.

Pre - Parade Party: From 3pm-6pm enjoy music, food and drinks with your fellow Krewe members and guests at the Clearview Shopping Center right next to the floats! We will be hosting a Band and Dance Team competition at 5-6pm. Enjoy entertainment by the various bands and dance teams performing in our parade as they compete for trophies and prizes. What better way to kick start your ride!!
Tickets for the Pre-Parade and After Parade Party are included in your dues!! Additional tickets for both parties can be purchased at reduced prices by Krewe Members for family and friends. Tickets for the general public will be availabe that day. Costs: TBD
After Parade Party: Immediately following the parade. Come unwind after your ride with fellow members. Open bar and food along with music until 1:30 a.m. Location: Landmark Hotel. Costs: TBD
Throws: Throws are available for purchase through the Krewe. All proceeds remain with the Krewe and help defer expenses of the parade.
